Heather honey from Bartnik Mazurski delights with its taste and aroma
The 7th edition of the "Tastes of Warmia, Mazury, and Powiśle on European Tables" competition took place on Saturday, November 17, 2012, in Ełk. This was the second subregional finale of the 7th edition of the "Tastes of Warmia, Mazury, and Powiśle on European Tables" competition. It was organized by the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship Government, the Warmian-Masurian Chamber of Agriculture, and the Europe Direct Warmia and Mazury Information Center. The aim of the competition is to collect unique culinary recipes from rural areas of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, "Tastes of Warmia, Mazury, and Powiśle on European Tables," and to promote one-of-a-kind products and dishes specific to the culinary heritage of our region.
The competition participants were producers of traditional regional food. We are delighted that gourmets and connoisseurs appreciated the flavor of Bartnik Mazurski's heather honey. Our heather honey took first place in the Regional Animal Products category.
They were assessed by a jury composed of: Igor Marek Hutnikiewicz (committee chairman, the Local Government of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship), Wiesława Alicja Bojarska (committee member, the Local Government of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship), Zofia Matyjasek (committee member, the Warmia and Mazury Chamber of Agriculture), Jolanta Mackiewicz (committee member, Europe Direct Warmia and Mazury) and Elżbieta Kaczmarek (committee member, the Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyń).
